Wildaxe Bought by Rapido

Wildaxe MotorhomesThe award winning UK panel van converter has been acquired by the French motorhome manufacturer Rapido.

Wildax say:

"We are pleased to announce that WildAx has been fully acquired by the Rapido Group. This news means that whilst Rapido have recently bought all the shares in WildAx the company will remain unchanged for the foreseeable future in the way that we operate. MD Duncan Wildman will continue in the same role as will all the senior staff. WildAx was built on a reputation of high quality and service - these are our core values and these will remain to be.

WildAx will remain based in Elland - although we had already planned to move our factory to allow for expansion to another very local to our current one.We will also aim to streamline production in the new factory to increase productivity whilst still remaining focused on the core values of quality and service.

Rapido is large French manufacturer that has controlling interests in many companies in the sector throughout Europe. They are a family run company that believe very much as we do in a high quality motorhome and great service. As with other brands in the Rapido Group we will remain a separate entity, run from Elland by our management team already in place. We will however benefit from years of motorhome manufacturing experience from a company started by the current Presidents father!

Our commitment to current and past customers remains the same - we urge anyone with questions to please email us at the factory, we will be very pleased to answer them!

We have great plans for the future which as always include the development of new motorhome designs and the tweaking of current models. Next year will see new models launched for us which have been planned for over 12 months.

We would like to thank all our customers for the messages of support and look forward to making great motorhomes for years to come!"
