South Devon Motorhome Parking Strategy and Consultation

South HamsWith the ever-increasing numbers of motorhome and campervan users opting to use car parks and other locations for overnight stays in the South Hams, the District Council commissioned a report to identify opportunities to amend car park operations and make recommendations relating to overnight sleeping within their off-street car parks.

The report was discussed at a Council Executive Meeting on 22nd April 2021, the Minutes are here: https://mg.swdevon.gov.uk/mgAi.aspx?ID=15136External link a link to the Report is that the bottom of that page.

A public consultation will run until 20th May, see: https://www.engagement.southhams.gov.uk/motorhomeconsultationExternal link for details of how to respond.

We very much welcome this forward-looking approach by South Hams District Council and encourage everyone to comment in support of the trial - and use the new overnight parking provisions when they become available.
