Overnight Parking In North Yorkshire

Craven District CouncilWe have heard from Craven District Council, in North Yorkshire, that overnight stays by motorhomes are to be permitted in some car parks in Skipton and Settle.

This was due to be introduced on 1st April 2017 but a problem with the Traffic Regulation Order had meant that it is unlikely to be operational before 1st July.

It is proposed that there will be 3 specific motorhome bays on Coach Street Car Park in Skipton and 3 motorhome bays on Greenfoot car park in Settle.

The cost of the bays subject to the approval, will be £5 per evening(6pm – 9am) with a maximum stay of 3 consecutive nights.

The charges through the day(9am-6pm) will be the normal amount charged to cars and motorcycles as specified on the tariff boards.

The bays will be easily identified as they will be marked by green paint and will have individual signs stating motorhomes only.
